Dry-cargo ship Petra delivered from Italy to Sochi a generator of around 130-ton weight for one of the Adler TPS power units. Besides, 200 tons of the accompanying equipment arrived on shipboard, including a turbine of 56-ton weight.

The preparatory work for the roadway construction started at the bridge across the Sulimovskiy stream. This bridge is the highest mountain bridge in Russia and the largest of all bridges being under construction on the highway from the Alpika-Service mountain resort to the finish area of the pistes of the Roza Khutor Mountain Ski Complex.

Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring put two environmental monitoring facilities in the Olympic Park construction area at the Imereti lowland into pilot operation.

The builders started installation of the metal frame of the Bolshoi Ice Palace dome. The total area of the drop-shaped roof will amount to 7,070 square meters.

Launching of the bridge spans across the Sulimovskiy stream at the access road to the Olympic venues of the mountain cluster was completed. This is one of the highest mountain bridges in Europe; this facility is second to none in Russia. Now the builders have started installation of bridge superstructures on fixed supports. After that the roadway construction will begin.
