In the Nekrasovskoe village, which is mainly intended for resettled residents from the Imereti lowland, where the land is withdrawn for the purpose of the Olympic construction, 102 individual houses are commissioned and ready for moving in.
Irek Zaripov, winner of four gold medals at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, has made his first visit to the Olympic venue under construction. He has appreciated the speed and scope of the construction work at the Bolshoi Ice Palace that will host some of the ice hockey events in 2014.
The engineers of OJSC Gazprom have started the pre-construction activities at one of the Olympic venues – a 1100-capacity Olympic village. It will be constructed at the Psekhako Ridge in close proximity to the integrated cross-country skiing and biathlon arena.
The first consignment of metal of 50 metric tons total weight has been delivered to the construction site of the Bolshoi Ice Palace. The dome structures will consist of 17 trusses and their total weight will amount to 1,500 metric tons.
