Olympstroy – the State Corporation for Construction of Olympic Venues and Sochi Development as Alpine Resort – was created in November 2007.
We are implementing a large-scale state program involving both federal and private investments to build infrastructure for Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and further development of the area.

The Supervisory Board chaired by Mr. Victor Basargin, Minister for Regional Development of the Russian Federation, is a main regulatory body of the corporation. Our Management team headed by President Mr Sergei Gaplikov maintains daily operations and coordinates relations with all investors.
The State Program of Construction of Olympic Venues and Sochi Development provides a full list of facilities for the Games together with the names of developers and investors for each project.

Two Olympic sport centers in coastal and mountain areas and Adler international airport will be connected by new 50 km long express railway and highway system.
The Olympic Park by the sea has five hockey and skating arenas and will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Games. The Olympic Village, media center, hotels and new transport hub with a railway station are in walking distance of all sports facilities.
The Mountain cluster has new ski and freestyle centers, biathlon stadium, trampling and bobsleigh track. The second Olympic village, hotels for tourists and media will be nearby.
All the venues have been designed with innovative techniques for reducing energy use and water consumption.

Through our focus on sustainablility, we have made a long-lasting positive impact on the development of the area. A legacy for everyone will have a brand new infrastructure of energy, water, telecommunications and transport, international hotels and cable lines system on Krasnaia Poliana.
More than 360 km of highways and 200 km of railways will be built and reconstructed. New 172 km gas pipeline Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi will supply 3.78 billion of cubic meters of gas for the Games and local community.
The sporting venues, new transport services and supporting facilities will be accessible to people with disabilities during and after the Games.

Environment protection and sustainable development are key priorities for us. Olympstroy holds the international certificate ISO:14001 and raises the bar for the construction industry setting Corporate Green Standards in environmental and power efficiency, resource saving and sustainable use in designing, construction and operation of Olympic venues and infrastructure.
