To update the complex environmental impact assessment (EIA) of Olympic venues, SC Olympstroy is planning to review design documentation of certain venues and to undertake further surveying. SC Olympstroy expects to receive bids and offers concerning the programmes of additional environmental activities which will be aimed at preserving the endangered animal and plant species of the Sochi region as well as their unique natural habitat.

In the Nekrasovskoe village, which is mainly intended for resettled residents from the Imereti lowland, where the land is withdrawn for the purpose of the Olympic construction, 102 individual houses are commissioned and ready for moving in.

The engineers of OJSC Gazprom have started the pre-construction activities at one of the Olympic venues – a 1100-capacity Olympic village. It will be constructed at the Psekhako Ridge in close proximity to the integrated cross-country skiing and biathlon arena.

The first consignment of metal of 50 metric tons total weight has been delivered to the construction site of the Bolshoi Ice Palace. The dome structures will consist of 17 trusses and their total weight will amount to 1,500 metric tons. div>>>>
